The BJP Parliamentary Board on Wednesday discussed the dramatic developments in Bihar following Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s resignation from the post but deferred any decision pending a report from a three-member committee of party leaders from the state who have been asked to analyse the situation.

Union Minister JP Nadda told reporters after the meeting of the board that the BJP will decide on its strategy in Bihar once the committee gives its report. The committee consists of Bihar BJP President Nityanand Rai, former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and Leader of Opposition in the assembly Prem Kumar.

Replying to questions, Nadda said he would not make any comments now because the party leadership was awaiting a report of the committee which has been asked to analyse the situation and give a report at the earliest.
