Techie murder case: Swathi’s father, vendor identify Ram Kumar as killer

Two witnesses on Tuesday identified engineering graduate Ram Kumar, prime accused in the murder of a Chennai-based woman IT employee, as the man who stalked and hacked the victim to death.

Santhana Gopalakrishnan, victim Swathi’s father, and Sivakumar, a bookseller at Nungambakkam railway station, among 20 others took part in the identification parade conducted at the Puzhal prison.

According to The Hindu-Tamil, at 10:45 am, ten persons with similar build and facial structure took part in an identification parade in front of a judge.

Ram Kumar is currently lodged in the Puzhal prison.

He allegedly attempted suicide when surrounded by the police on July 1 in his native village in Tirunelveli district.
