Two Indians rescued after over a year in captivity in war-torn Libya will return to India on Friday.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup has confirmed that C. Balaram Kishan from Telangana and T. Gopikrishna from Andhra Pradesh will arrive on Friday morning and subsequently will travel to their respective home towns.

“The two Indians were in captivity since July 29 and were released last week,” he added.
The two Indians, who were teaching at Libya’s Sirte University, were abducted by Islamic State militants in July last year.
