Two high school students in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district have been arrested for posting a video of a class 9 girl in compromising position with a male student on Facebook.
The accused and the 14-year-old victim are students of the same school in Rajganj and are minors, police said.
The video, shot inside a class room of the school two months ago, was uploaded on Facebook by one of the accused a few days back.
It soon went viral and came to the notice of the girl’s father, who lodged a complaint against the four boys at Rajganj police station on Sunday night.
On Monday, police arrested a class 12 and class 8 student. Two others, of class 12 and class 9, are absconding.
The incident is likely to create tension in Rajganj as the victim and accused belong to different religious communities.
