Terrorists on Wednesday attacked a house in Doda district where army personnel were camping and killed a civilian while injuring two others, including a jawan, official sources said.
An army patrol was camping in the house of one Santosh Kumar, a jawan in the Territorial Army in Sunder Mangota in Khelani belt of Doda district on Wednesday morning when terrorists fired from atop a hill, they said.
A civilian Gori Lal was killed in the firing while another Ajeet Kumar and a jawan identified as Mahavir Singh were injured, they said adding the troops fired back.
The terrorists escaped from the spot and additional troops were sent to the area to launch a cordon and search operation to track down the terrorists responsible for the firing, they said.
