MYSTERIOUS FEVER clamed four more lives at the LLR Hospital and private nursing homes here on Tuesday. Pathological report of one of the patients confirmed that he died of dengue.
One Ram Sewak (52), a resident of Kakadeo, died here at a private nursing home. He was suffering from high fever. His blood test confirmed that he was affected with dengue. But before the treatment could begin, he died today.
Similarly, Chanda (62) of Jagmau area was admitted to the LLR Hospital with high fever and kidney ailments. She died during treatment today. Peter Singh (58) of Nawabganj Kesa colony and Mohanti (32) of Kakadeo area also died of mysterious fever. All the deaths are suspected to be because of dengue.
It is, however, astonishing that even after the death of three-dozen patients during the past two days, medical experts here could not ascertain the exact cause of their deaths.
