The police said four children drowned in Sone river near Enikat ghat under Dehri-on-Sone police station area in Rohtas district.

In Siwan district, three girls drowned in Daha river near Nawalpur brigde area under the Mufassil police station while taking bath, the police said.

In a similar tragedy, two brothers were drowned in a pond under Katoria area in Banka district. In Jehanabad, an eight-year-old girl drowned in a pond, while three other children were rescued by villagers, the police said.
