TEN-YEAR-old son of a leading Hazratganj garment showroom owner left the traffic cops jittery during the ongoing traffic drive at Hazratganj crossing on Tuesday. The vehicle in which he was moving was stopped for not carrying registration number and the brat’s stubborn attitude not only irritated lower rung cops but also SP (Traffic) Onkar Singh.
While the cops were checking vehicles violating traffic rules, they stopped an Innova for not having the registration number. The policemen asked the Innova’s driver to produce the required documents and at this the 10-year-old boy rolled down the windowpanes and asked the SP (Traffic) to ask his men not to touch the vehicle.
Amused over the boy’s reaction, Singh asked the driver to get off the vehicle and follow instructions of the cops. Again, the boy intervened and identified himself as the son of a leading garment showroom owner. He asked Singh to send the vehicle to their shop. The boy further said he would send the penalty (Rs 500) and there was no need to get engaged in a futile argument.
However, the SP (Traffic) ignored the boy and asked his men to seize the vehicle. As the cops asked the driver to hand over the key of the vehicle, they were told that the boy had it. The cops, including the SP (Traffic), kept on requesting the boy for the key for over 20 minutes but he did not budge.

Meanwhile, another Innova vehicle (without number) managed to evade police action. A police gunner snubbed the checking squad saying that its owner was IG, Zone, Gorakhpur.
