Air India sources on Sunday said, 85 other pilots, who had signed the undertaking reportedly under protest at the end of the 5 PM deadline set by the management yesterday, would not be assigned flying duties as of now.

15 others including the office bearers and managing committee members of IPG are yet to sign the undertaking, the sources added.

According to officials, AI is to resume normal flight schedule by mid-week even as an enquiry officer would initiate enquiries against the first set of pilots who have been charge sheeted for refusing to fly and abandoning of flights at various destinations.

AI had last week suspended 46 pilots, including the president and general secretary of IPG and issued chargesheets.
