More than hundred shops were gutted in a fire at Gora Bazar under Dum Dum Police Station in North 24 Parganas on Tuesday morning, fire brigade sources said.
The fire broke out at around 07:30 am and 15 fire tenders were pressed into service, a fire brigade official said.

The situation, however, was under control.
According to local businessmen, the losses might go up to a few lakh while fire brigade was yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
