10th convocation of GHS-IMR held

THE 10TH convocation of Dr Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research (GHS-IMR) was held at Sir Padampat Singhania Auditorium of Merchants Chambers on Thursday. The chief guest, Prof RP Singh, director of the HBTI Kanpur addressed the convocation. Addressing the students, Singh said, ?To stay competitive in this knowledge intensive globalised economy, educated youths are required.?

The chief guest, Prof RP Singh, director of the HBTI Kanpur addressed the convocation.

Addressing the students, Singh said, “To stay competitive in this knowledge intensive globalised economy, educated youths are required.” He further said new partnerships have to emerge between institutes, R&D organisation and industry to generate and commercialise new technologies.

He said educational system would need to be greatly revamped and revitalised to meet the challenges of the new knowledge-intensive economy. Without access to high quality education, it would be difficult to have adequate supply of trained managerial and technological manpower, he added.

Yadupati Singhania, chairman of GHS-IMR welcomed the people and called upon the students to look into insightful and profound thoughts in a book titled — FedEX Delivers by Madan Birla. He said that knowledge could be a source of great pleasure in the corporate world.

Later, additional director of GHS-IMR Prof KV Murthy proposed the vote of thanks.
