Burdwan was one of the 13 municipalities across 10 districts of the state that went to polls. About 20 Trinamool Congress men attacked the booth office injuring 15 Marxist workers. Two local leaders, Md Yunus and Hamid Mullick, were hospitalised, sources said. A car parked near the booth office was also damaged. After the news spread, hundreds of CPI(M) workers reached the spot but the attackers had fled by then.
