18 students injured in Punjab accident

At least 18 students were injured when their bus collided with a truck on the highway to Punjab's Tarn Taran town near Amritsar, the police said.

At least 18 students were injured on Saturday when their bus collided with a truck on the highway to Punjab's Tarn Taran town near Amritsar, the police said.

The injured students, going to schools and colleges, were rushed to hospitals Amritsar and in Tarn Taran town.

The police officials said that three of the injured were in serious condition.

The truck driver, whose vehicle was overloaded with paddy, fled from the spot.
