A report from Rajahmundry said that about 7.50 lakh pilgrims took holy dip on Tuesday at various ghats in the city on the seventh day of Pushkaram.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday visited Basara in Adilabad district and reviewed arrangements.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that his government has allotted Rs 170 crore for providing various facilities to pilgrims during the Pushkaram.

Appreciating the efforts of officials involved in festival arrangements, Naidu asked them to improve the services as rush of pilgrims was likely to increase in next five days.

Meanwhile, the South Central Railway will run special trains from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry from August 2-9 and Rajhamundry to Hyderabad from August 3 to 10 to clear the rush.
