THE BHOPAL division of Railway has opened two extra counters at the Habibganj Reservation Office in order to cope with passengers’ rush in summer.
Now there are 13 windows at the first floor of the station and one window at the ground floor where the tickets could be either obtained or cancelled.
Also, the passengers will not have to go to the first floor for inquiry about reservation as an inquiry counter has opened at the ground floor as well.
Besides, the railway officials are planning to open four counters each at the Bhopal and Habibganj reservation centres to be open till 10 pm. This will come into effect from April 1.
DRM Devi Prasad Pandey directed the railway officials and RPF to ensure check on activities of touts and conduct sudden checking to catch the unauthorised agents. The police personnel in plainclothes will keep an eye at the reservation centres.
Besides, the supervisors have been asked to keep a check on the counters at regular intervals so that the passengers get the ticket timely and there is no excessive delay.
The Commercial department has urged the passengers to buy ticket themselves or through the authorised rail travel service agent.
