Two debt ridden farmers allegedly committed suicide in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, reeling under agrarian crisis, police said on Monday.

Thirty-five year old Vijay Pawar, resident of village Rohna in Manora taluka of adjoining Washim district killed himself after constant crop failure and debt trap.

Pawar was a member of the gram-panchayat and leaves behind his wife, two sons and two daughters.
In the second incident, a farmer from village Lakhi under Pusad taluka of Yavatmal district committed suicide due to debt trap.
