Rohit (6) and his younger brother Swayam (2) died of dysentery, vomiting and diarrhoea (DVD) while their brother Golu (4), all residents of Khurramnagar, was rushed to Trauma Centre in a serious condition.

The kids were suffering from DVD since Sunday morning and were being treated by a nearby doctor. On Monday afternoon, the condition of three kids became serious. Two of them later died.

Father of the kids Nankilal is a vegetable seller and is a native of Samastipur (Bihar). Family members of the kids and local residents staged a demonstration at the Khurramnagar police outpost, alleging laxity on part of the administration and the Health Department. They blocked the traffic for hours and demanded compensation for the family.
