2 killed as gunmen open fire in J&K

Two persons were killed when unidentified gunmen in combat dress opened fire on a group of people at Bomaie Sopore in Baramullah district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Two persons were killed when unidentified gunmen in combat dress on Friday night opened fire on a group of people at Bomaie Sopore in Baramullah district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources in Srinager said.

They said those who opened fire could not be identified immediately. An army spokesman said army personnel were not present at all at the scene of the incident.

"We are checking up who opened fire on the civilians", he said.
