200-06 profit may have fallen: BSNL

The state-owned firm's operating income in 2005-06 rose 9 per cent to Rs 395 billion on rising customer additions.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, India's top telecoms firm by sales, said on Monday its profit in the fiscal year ended March was likely to have fallen marginally below the previous year's level of 100 billion rupees due to intense competition.
