FCI received 200 quintals wheat from Haryana but while checking the sample it was found that the crop was not covered with tarpaulin even when the rain was continuing and became wet, said the Manager of FCI, Manohar Lal Negi.

He said after the testing report wheat was not found as per demanded quality and therefore it was rejected and the same was sent back without unloading the wheat.

The Food and Civil Supplies Controller, District Sirmour, Pavitra Devi said the customers had to wait to receive the wheat supply as the department was not willing to distribute the
sub-standard wheat to the customers.
