2011 ODI World Cup Trophy unveiled in Bhopal

Former India all-rounder Madan Lal and Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya today unveiled the ICC trophy for the 2011 ODI World Cup in Indore.

Former India all-rounder Madan Lal and Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya on Friday unveiled the ICC trophy for the 2011 ODI World Cup in Indore.

Recalling India's historic World Cup victory at Lord's in 1983, Lal said the current Indian team has the potential to repeat history in the tournament, which is jointly being hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The trophy, which arrived in Indore from Lucknow and will reach Hyderabad on Saturday, was later taken in a procession to different parts of the city where people watched it with great awe.

India will face Bangladesh in the opening match of the mega-event at Dhaka on February 19, next year.
