22-year-old tribal kills wife before hanging self in Madhya Pradesh

A 22-year-old tribal allegedly killed his wife and later ended his life by hanging himself at his home. The incident occurred at Dewli village under Warla police station area, about 100km south of Barwani district headquarters.

A 22-year-old tribal allegedly killed his wife and later ended his life by hanging himself at his home. The incident occurred at Dewli village under Warla police station area, about 100-kilometre south of Barwani district headquarters.

Jailal and his wife Sapna (both 22 years old), who lived in Dewli village, got married 3 years ago and couple had a one-and-half-year-old daughter. Jailal, who hails from Suma-riya village in Maharashtra, was residing at his in-laws’ place in Dewli village in Barwani district.

Sapna's father Kalu first saw her daughter in a pool of blood and son-in-law hanging on Tuesday afternoon. He said he found them dead after returning home from his field.

He informed that on Tuesday morning, like every other day, he and Jailal went to work on the fields. In the afternoon, when they were about to have their lunch, Jailal said that he wanted to take lunch with his wife and headed home. After sometime, Kalu went home. He found Sapna and Jailal dead.
