23 injured in bus mishap

At least 23 people were injured, 5 of them seriously, when the bus in which they were travelling overturned at Hatisuri, about 35 km from in Baripada on Sunday, police said.

The accident occurred when the driver of the Bhubaneswar bound bus from Baripada was plunged into a roadside ditch and overturned trying to save a cyclist.

The seriously hurt passengers had been shifited to the district headquarters hospital at Balasore while the rest, including five women, were being treated at the hospital at Baisinga and Betonati.
