As soon as the House assembled for the day, the TDP and CPI members moved separate adjournment motion demanding immediate halt to the auction of prime land in favour of private parties.

After Speaker KR Suresdh Reddy disallowed their adjournment motion, the TDP members rushed to the well and shouted slogans against the Congress Government in the state.

The TDP Deputy Floor Leader T Devender Goud wanted the government to put the auction in abeyance till the house takes up a debate on the issue.

The Speaker and Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah advised the opposition members to raise the issue during a debate on the budget.

As the opposition members refused to budge, the speaker adjourned the House for 10 minutes in a bid to restore order.
