The victim, who was admitted in a critical condition to a hospital at Bankhedi in Hoshangabad, succumbed to her injuries on Saturday - the day when the minor accused in the December Delhi gang-rape case was sent to a reformatory home for three years.

The woman, residing in Simaria village, had come to her mother's house in Dumar village where her neighbours, identified as Hamid, Irshad Khan, Aashiq and Raees Khan, raped her.

The accused and the woman’s family allegedly had a dispute over property.

Later, the four men along with Hamid's wife set the woman on fire and threw her in front of her house.

The police have arrested the four men and Hamid's wife and a case has been registered under Section 376 (rape), 302 (murder), 147 (rioting) and 365 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code.
