28-yr-old on trekking trip goes missing

A 28-year-old engineer was reported missing on Thursday when she, along with a group of 31 others from her office, went trekking in Sinhagad fort, about 30 km from Pune, reports HT Correspondent.

A 28-year-old engineer was reported missing on Thursday when she, along with a group of 31 others from her office, went trekking in Sinhagad fort, about 30 km from Pune.

Kavita Ishwar Chikhali, a resident of Chandan Nagar in Kharadi, works as an engineer in the quality department of the Koregaon Bhima-based Seco Tools India Private Ltd.

“Kavita was untraceable since morning when her colleagues lost contact with her while they were climbing the fort,” said Additional Superintendent of Police Ravindrasinh Pardeshi.

Police Inspector R. R. Pachurkar said: “Kavita had stopped at a point while the rest of the group marched ahead on Thursday morning.”

According to police, Kavita’s mobile was also not reachable since she became untraceable.
