NORTH-CENTRAL RAILWAY (NCR) has decided to set up a waiting room at Allahabad Junction Railway Station for passengers travelling in second class-but with a difference. The NCR officials are all set to design the waiting room in a modern way and give it a new look.

The waiting room will be constructed on the ground floor along platform number 1.
Under the initiative, the train passengers will get much needed relief from the inconvenience which they have to face, as till date there is no waiting room for the second class passengers. They have to spent long time, sometimes even hours at the concourse, awaiting the arrival of train. The design of the waiting room will be similar to the one existing at Mumbai Central, said, a senior officer associated with the work.
"We will try to give a different look to the room which will appeal the passengers and make them comfortable while resting in the waiting room", said the officer.
Not only this, the railway officials have also planned to shift the first class waiting room for gents on the ground floor of platform number 1.
At present, the first class waiting room for gents is on the first floor and that of ladies is on the ground floor, causing difficulties for the passengers.
