Three persons were injured when a bomb exploded at VIP area at Babupara in manipur barely 100 metres away from the chief minister's residence and the police headquarters.

The bomb, which was hidden in a scooter parked in front of the Congress chief whip T Mangibabu's residence, exploded at around 10.30 a.M. Injuring three passers-by, police said.

The injured were admitted to a hospital, they said.

The explosion also damaged portion of the wall of the Congress functionary's residence, they said.
