Four Indian nationals arrested last week by Jamaican police on charges of human trafficking have pleaded guilty for possessing fictitious South African passports.
Sanja Patel, Kumar Nayan Nayi, Mandeep Singh and Taranjit Singh will be sentenced on Friday.
The men are also scheduled to be sentenced on bribery charges because they offered police $1,500 to release them when they were arrested.
Police believe that with the arrest of the four men, they have broken a major human trafficking ring in the country, according to radio Jamaica.
Last week, the Jamaican immigration department raided an apartment in St Andrew, north of capital of Kingston and arrested the men and seized several South African passports.
Later, checks with the South African High Commission revealed that the passports were fictitious.
