4 persons killed, 10 injured in Bihar road accidents

Four persons were killed and ten others injured in separate road accidents in Bihar since Thursday night, police said.

Two motor-cycle borne persons were killed when they came under the wheels of a speeding truck on National Highway number 31 near Gonda Chowk-Ghulab Bagh area of Purnia district late on Thursday night, police said.

The victims have been identified as Sikander Singh, a junior engineer posted with Rural Engineering office at Purnia and Nawal Kishore, a junior engineer posted at Purnia East block.

In another incident, one person identified as Rana Kumar (42) was killed and 10 others injured when a jeep carrying a marriage party collided with a truck coming from opposite direction near Chaidha village on National Highway 31 of Khagaria district today.

The injured were admitted to Sadar hospital from where three seriously injured were referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital, the police said.

In Begusarai, a truck cleaner was killed on the spot when two trucks collided on NH-28 under Teghra police station limits of the district.
