Four people died of swine flu in Pune on Sunday, taking the city’s H1N1 tally to 31.
Two toddlers — a 15-month-old girl and nine-month-old girl — died at Sassoon Hospital while Vilas Padale (42) and Anil Nikam (26) died at KEM and Bharati hospital respectively.

According to doctors at Sassoon, both the toddlers were suffering from breathing problems coupled with bacterial infection. Their swabs had tested positive on Sunday.
Padale was suffering from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome while Nikam had severe cough and fever.
The four were critical and put on ventilator on Sunday morning, said Health Department officials.
Three of the four deaths occurred within an hour, between 10 and 11 in the evening.
Most CBSE and ICSE schools in the city will reopen on Monday. State board schools had reopened on August 24.
