FOUR TEACHERS were suspended while 34 others in Raisen and Sehore districts face salary cut for remaining absent from duty without intimation. Also two increments each of four principals were stopped and another principal was given notice to this extent for failing to ensure attendance of students in schools.
Directorate of Public Instructions took the abovementioned action on Monday after finalising the report of inspection of schools in Raisen and Sehore district, conducted in first week of February.
The four teachers who were suspended for long duration of absence include Vandana Khare, lecturer with Sanchi School, Raisen, Kaptan Singh Chouhan, shikshakarmi grade I with same school, Ashok Pandey of High School, Sanchi and Sushila Choudhary of Shahganj Girls’ School, Sehore.
The Block Education Officer (BEO) of Sanchi was asked to give explanation for keeping one of the teachers - Pandey attached to his office.
The four principals whose two increments were stopped include M D Dahia of High School Sachet, Dhaniram of Pipalkhedi School, Raisen, R B Shrivastava of Boys School, Shahganj and M K Khare of Girls School, Shahganj.
Principal of Bagh Pipalia School, Raisen was given notice as to why his increments should not be stopped. The teachers whose salary for the month has been stopped include three at Pipalkhedi, Raisen, seven at Shahganj Girls School, five at Boys School, Shahganj, two at Budhnighat School, two at Diwanganj, seven at Salamatpur, four at Sachet School, Raisen and four at Bagh Pipalia School, Raisen.
