The procession wound its way through all the main roads of Southall, where the gurdwara is located. The organisers had arranged for snacks and cold drinks, and sweets for children, almost every few hundred yards.

When it reached the Kings Road, priests of the Ram Mandir came out to offer "roomala". The procesion kept roaming the streets for three hours before turning back towards the Havelock Road gurdwara.

Fire-works lit up the sky later on. Several Members of Parliament and Mayors were also present at the gurdwara. Langar was served to thousands.
