45 tribals fall ill after consuming food at a marriage party

Nearly 45 tribals, including women and children, were taken ill after consuming food at a marriage party in Mohanpur village., health department officials said today.

The tribals, who are suspected to be suffering from food poisoning, fell ill after the dinner at a marriage party at one Shivlal Baraila's place last night, they said.

After having food, the tribals complained of vomitting and upset stomach, they said.

"A medical team, led by Dr Sobharam Sharma, has been camping in the village since last night following the incident," officiating Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Ramveer Singh Raghuvanshi said.

The tribals have been admitted in the Government District hospital.
