The Central Election Observers have seized 4560 bottles of liquor in a raid on a farmhouse, reportedly belonging to a DMK councillor at Kodangipatti in Tamil Nadu district.
Official sources on Saturday said that the observers went to the farmhouse with a strike force and revenue officials after receiving a tip off and seized the bottles.

The bottles had been handed over to top police officials at Vedasanthur near Dindigul.
In another raid, police seized 2,400 liquor bottles at a checkpost near Vadamadurai on Saturday. It was not clear whether the bottles were meant for distribution to voters or for sale.
