Starting doubts:
With just Rs 50,000, he took the plunge to make Just Dial a success. He also had a family to take care of and he gave up a stable job in Delhi to try out his luck in Mumbai.

Money problems:
When he set out, the office was on rent, the furniture was on rent. It was a struggle every month to pay employees and bills.

Other obstacles:
It took a while to convince small entrepreneurs and business establishments to believe in him and the concept. People were not quite willing to buy the idea that people would call for information. In the initial years, the office had to be shifted thrice because rent was shooting up every year.
