The workers had allegedly attacked three supervisors and a worker last Friday with wooden logs. All the four had sustained serious injuries.

The company added that an FIR was lodged against the dismissed workers at the Manesar police station.

“We have booked five workers and two have been identified. No arrest has been made yet. It seems these workers were angry with their co-workers who had singed the bond and resumed work. All culprits were booked under IPC sections 147, 149, 323, 342 and 506. They will be arrested soon,” said a police official.

“We are very clear that employees will have to sign the good conduct bond, only then will they be allowed on the company premises,” said RC Bhargava, chairman, Maruti Suzuki. “The company will not take a hasty decision because of daily loss of production at the Manesar plant,” Bhargava added.
