Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Banamali Swain when he was being handed over the 20-inch idol by two men on bike on Wednesday.

The idol was valued at Rs two crore in the international market, police said, adding that the men on bike managed to fled.

Police have registered a case and search is on for the two persons, they said.
