A total of 51 officers completed their Aeronautical Engineering Course at the Air Force Technical College in Bangalore on Friday.

The College, commanded by Air Commodore P Kanakaraj, is the alma mater of Aeronautical Engineers of the Indian Air Force.

The passing out parade of the72nd Aeronautical Engineering Course marked the culmination of one year and six months of training in Aeronautical Engineering, military leadership, and managerial skills, a defence release said.

The course consisted of 51 officers, including 10 women officers.

Air Marshal K M Ramasundara, Air Officer-in-Charge, Maintenance Air HQ, who was the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer for the occasion, empahsized the need for cost effective maintenance of aircraft, radar, weapons and communication systems. He called upon the young officers to strive for professional excellence and always uphold the IAF Code of the Air Warrior.

He awarded trophies and medallions to the officers who excelled in the course.
