A 6-year-old girl has been gang-raped, brutally tortured and strangulated in Ranchi. Her partially-clad body was recovered from a construction site on Thursday morning.
The child’s ears had been sliced off, her right hand broken and possibly more than two people raped her, said a doctor of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, where the postmortem examination is in progress. The child had been missing since Wednesday afternoon and a complaint had been filed with the police.
It was likely that the killers were known to the family, said a police officer.
Student gang-raped in Bengaluru
Three youths were arrested for abducting and gangraping a 19-year-old nursing student. The incident took place on April 21 in central Bengaluru.
That evening, the girl was abducted from a bus stop by three men in an SUV. She was then taken to the outskirts of the city, made to drink alcohol and repeatedly sexually assaulted.
The girl, who is undergoing treatment, has been reported to be stable now.
