SEVEN PEOPLE, including a journalist, were injured when some persons opened fire at Bhanpura, about 125 km from here, police said today. The persons reached the spot in a jeep and opened fire causing injuries to seven people near a beetle shop late last night.

The injured included a local journalist, Harikrishna Marmat. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital and their condition was stated to be stable. Two persons were arrested in connection with the incident and the jeep was seized later.
