Seven members of a marriage party were killed and four others got seriously injured, when a jeep in which they were travelling was hit by a truck on Basti-Siddhartnagar road this morning, police said.

The accident took place near Datiya crossing in Rudauli police station area, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Modak said.
The injured were admitted to a hospital, where they are said to be in a critical condition, the SP added.
