86 quacks arrested from Muzaffarnagar

Police have arrested 86 quacks from Muzaffarnagar for practising medicine without proper authorisation, official sources said on Saturday.

The quacks were arrested during an official drive against illegal medical practitioners, District Chief Medical Officer SC Maheshwari said.

Meanwhile, official sources said that four medical suppliers have been arrested from the district after the CBI recovered spurious drugs during its raid at local medical shops.

The drugs were being supplied from a factory in Haryana, which has now been sealed, they added.
