A mob had on May 2 set ablaze a car burning alive the youth at Arjuwa road during the riots in the city when a 200- year-old dargah was demolished by Vadodara civic authorities engaged in removing encroachments.

However, there are different versions how his vehicle had caught fire.

Relatives of the victim allege the vehicle was set afire by a mob comprising members of the majority community while residents of the area claim the vehicle had overturned and caught fire after dashing into the road divider.
