92 per cent of toddlers are active online

If you see a two-year-old tweeting relentlessly about his toddling misadventures, don't be alarmed! A recent survey has revealed that as many as one in four kids have online presence even before they are born in US.

If you see a two-year-old tweeting relentlessly about his toddling misadventures, don't be alarmed! Online presence is the new in thing for toddlers. According to a recent survey, almost 92 per cent of two-year-olds have strong online presence. Be it photos uploaded by parents or full-fledged profile on social networking sites, toddlers are everywhere.

In a startling revelation, one in four children have profiles even before they are born! 33 per cent of parents share their sonogram images on the web in the U.S.

Interestingly, 7 per cent of babies and toddlers have an e-mail address created for them right at birth.

Obviously, toddlers don't create their own profile. Ask the parents what inspires them to put their kid on the online world and 70 per cent of them feel that it is the most convenient method of letting their friends and family virtually meet their child. 18 per cent of them do it because everyone else is doing it.
