942 posts created in schools

THE RECENT upgradation of 115 schools being run by the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department has paved the way for 942 new posts. This will facilitate availability of subject teachers.

As per new directives, contractual postings other than those of the principals, hostel superintendents, accountants and upper division clerks will be made by the districts and janpad panchayats concerned.

The State Government has upgraded six residential schools and 24 high schools to higher secondary schools and 85 middle schools to high schools.

With the upgradation of six residential schools, 240 new posts have been created including six posts of principals, 60 posts of contract school teachers grade - I, 54 of contract teachers grade II, and six posts each of craft, tabla and music contract teachers grade II.

For the newly upgraded higher secondary schools, 192 posts have been created including 24 posts of principals, 72 of contract teachers grade I, 48 of contract teachers grade III, 24 of accountants and 24 of class IV employees.
Upgradation of 85 middle schools to high schools has resulted in 510 new posts.
