The Annual Budget 2006 is a balanced budget. It is growth-oriented, especially with focus on infrastructure and rural roads.

The roadmap to implement Goods & Services Tax by 2010 is a progressive step and we hope that the government would be able to successfully implement it as per the desired timelines.

However, the fringe benefits tax (FBT) still remain a cause for concern, as the industry was expecting it to be totally abolished or significantly simplified, but it has been only marginally simplified.
