My family is precious to me. My parents, wife, daughters and I stay, eat, play and pray together. A happy and contended family adds strength and purpose to my life. My values and positive spirit can be attributed to the support I get from my family that includes 'Simba' our dog.

When not in office can be found at:

I love to spend time with my family at home or eating out and enjoying together during evenings and with my school pals on weekends and holidays.

Reading:

I was a voracious reader during school and college days and had an appetite for two novels or other interesting books a day. Now I read books on new developments across the world. My favourite authors are Thomas Hardy, Alistair MacLean, PG Wodehouse, Prem Chand and Sarat Chandra Chatterjee.

Sports is:

It is a discipline, as I walk and jog everyday and also practice yoga. I still continue to play Squash.

What's your passion?

To help the under privileged children in acquiring a better future.

Music is:

An inspiration to enjoy life and also a means to bring a calming effect on me.

Turning point in life:

Class IX. When I turned over from being a weak student to a bright one and realised that I can change things with sheer grit and dedication. And birth of my first daughter transformed me to become a person with a higher degree of responsibility towards my family.

Idols:

Mahatma Gandhi, who ventured always against the tide and still stood firm on his values and Nelson Mandela, who demonstrated the powers of his teachings.
