They say that if allowed to continue without a check, it would definitely destroy the Pakistani culture and traditions, and also the morality of the country's youth.

An article published in The News said that while the young brigade in the country are anxiously waiting for the V-Day tomorrow, "a segment of society fear that by celebrating this occasion we are importing the cultural norms and values of the west - thus deviating from our own eastern and religious ethos."

"Such occasions impact the morality of our youth," it quoted Farzana Jabeen, a lecturer of Islamic History at University of Karachi, as saying.

She added: "Do you find any piety in the way our youth celebrate this occasion. If anything we import affects our thoughts, which gives birth to culture and values in a society, then such import will definitely destroy our culture and traditions and the morality of our youth".
