Ok, so what’s new? Everyone knows men ogle and what they’re interested in isn’t the size of the female cranium. What I don’t get is the women falling for a man’s eyes.
What’s the point of sweating it out at the gym, where’s the sense in trying so hard to be cool and striking an attitude if all that women notice are your eyes.
You might as well throw away the cologne and the hair gel and dump that shiny new car and the funky jewellery. You nerdy types can trash your Rushdie or Murakami, they won’t help you get your girl. No sir, what they want, the researchers tell us, is sexy eyes.
But what exactly do they mean by sexy eyes? Do they like the heavy-lidded look, or the bright and alert type? Should you go in for the smouldering gaze, or the dreamy one? Should your eyes be gentle and kind or would women prefer you to be gimlet-eyed, revealing the sharp intelligence within? Or, and this is truly terrifying, are they trying to get a glimpse of our non-existent souls?
Nevertheless, here are a few useful tips. First, chuck those sunglasses. I know you’ll say look at Karunanidhi, who’s married thrice without ever taking off his sunglasses, but he’s the exception that proves the rule. What’s more, get rid of your spectacles too and buy a pair of contact lenses, preferably coloured ones that match your shirt.

{{/usCountry}}The next thing to do is to draw her attention to your eyes. You can easily do that by a few simple methods. Line your top and bottom eyelids with eyeliner. Typically you may use a black or charcoal eyeliner but you can also try a dark one that matches your eyeshadow colour.
Apply eyeshadow to soften the harsh lines. Curl lashes using an eyelash curler and finish your sexy eye make-up application with two coats of mascara on both the upper and lower lashes. Don’t forget your eyebrows and remember to always trim before tweezing. And of course, eyebrow-trimming is the first step to eyebrow-shaping.
Now that you’ve got her looking at your eyes, the rest should be easy. The Whigfield song a few years back eloquently hinted at the delights in store for you: “Ooh Ooh, aah aah sexy eyes/ I’m gonna take you to paradise.”
If, on the other hand, you consider all this too much trouble, just go ahead and keep ogling. Who knows, maybe the only reason women look at men’s eyes is to see whether we are looking at them.
